Mount Rainier Climbing team assembed from the Internet attempted The
Mountain on June 10/11, 1999 with 2 of the 5 successfully summiting.
However, thousands attempt every year and about half succeed. And "success"
does not always mean reaching the top. Each team member below gives
an account of their climb on the popular Muir/Dissapointment Cleaver
Route with tidbits of advice and wisdom for the beginner and intermediate
